Trail
marker
wines
Trail Marker is rooted in California’s cool-climate vineyards along the fog line, in some of the state’s best sites for Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Partners Drew Huffine and Emily Virgil farm with intention, making small-lot wines that reflect place over power. They focus on leaner styles with energy, clarity, and structure—wines that speak clearly without shouting.
Farming Note
Farming is organic where possible and always minimal-intervention. Drew and Emily believe that great wines are grown, not made, and they approach each site with a deep respect for ecology. Their focus is on vine health, soil vitality, and the kind of patience that lets the vineyard define the wine.”
Winemaking
The winemaking is as light-touch as the farming—letting the fruit shine. Native yeast fermentations, no additions beyond SO2, and aging in mostly neutral oak keep the wines fresh and expressive. Fermentations are kept cool to preserve nuance, and bottling happens without fining or filtering. The result is a lineup of wines that quietly reflect where they’re from.
