Domaine
Rodolphe Demougeot

Working in the Côte de Beaune, Rodolphe Demougeot crafts wines from vineyards in Beaune, Savigny-lès-Beaune, Pommard, and surrounding villages. The vines are rooted in limestone-rich soils and farmed sustainably, with minimal intervention to allow each site’s character to shine.

In the cellar, Demougeot favors gentle extractions, native yeast fermentations, and restrained oak aging to create wines of quiet elegance. These are classic Burgundies—layered, precise, and deeply tied to their terroir.

Farming Note

Demougeot farms across a range of classic Burgundy terroirs—including Beaune, Pommard, and Savigny-lès-Beaune—with a focus on soil health, biodiversity, and site expression. Whether working with deep red clay, gravelly alluvial plains, or thin limestone-rich soils, his approach remains sustainable and precise, allowing each vineyard’s nuance to come through in the fruit.

Winemaking

All Pinot Noir grapes are hand-harvested and fermented with native yeasts. Demougeot takes a low-intervention approach: minimal pump-overs, aging in mostly used oak barrels, and precise élevage that enhances clarity and finesse. The focus is on balance, purity, and elegance—letting each site express its character through thoughtful, restrained winemaking.
