Pique-Basse

In the hills of France’s Southern Rhône, Pique-Basse farms Grenache and Syrah on limestone and sandy soils, achieving balance in naturally ripe fruit. Farming is certified organic. Winemaking is restrained—native fermentations, gentle extractions, and aging in concrete or neutral wood. The wines carry depth without excess weight. Classic Rhône, with quiet elegance.

Farming Note

Certified organic since 2009, with no systemic chemicals. Soils are alive and respected. Farming is hands-on, with close attention to vineyard balance and the expression of diverse micro-terroirs.

Winemaking

Native fermentations. Minimal intervention. No new oak. Gentle extractions to preserve freshness and site clarity. Wines are aged in a mix of concrete, neutral barrels, and stainless depending on the cuvée. Nothing is rushed. Nothing is forced.
