Luigi Spertino
Luigi and Mauro Spertino farm Monferrato’s rolling hills, focusing on Barbera, Grignolino, and Cortese. The vineyards are set on calcareous clay, farmed with sustainability in mind. Winemaking is slow and deliberate—long fermentations, neutral aging, and nothing to mask the purity of the fruit. The reds are structured and lifted, while the whites are textured and precise. A pure expression of Monferrato.
Farming Note
All vineyard work is done by hand with organic principles at the core—no systemic treatments, no shortcuts. Just careful farming that respects the vines, the soils, and the long arc of tradition in Monferrato.
Winemaking
Fermentations are spontaneous, and the wines are raised slowly in concrete or large neutral botti. No new oak, no excessive extraction, no additions beyond a touch of sulfur. Just a steady hand and a patient approach that lets the wines evolve naturally.
