Famille Dutraive
The Dutraive family is a cornerstone of Fleurie, with deep roots in one of Beaujolais’s most celebrated crus. Farming organically across prized granite soils, they prioritize biodiversity, balance, and deep respect for the land.
In the cellar, they rely on whole-cluster fermentations and native yeasts to craft wines that are vibrant, expressive, and full of energy—carried by tender aromatics, silky textures, and a sense of joy that makes them a true reflection of place.
Farming Note
The Dutraive family farms organically across multiple Beaujolais crus, with vines rooted in granite-rich soils—especially in Fleurie, where ghostly pink granite defines the landscape. Their approach emphasizes soil vitality and ecological balance, allowing each site to express its character with clarity and lift. Farming is focused on healthy vines, minimal intervention, and deep respect for the land.
Winemaking
All wines are hand-harvested and undergo semi-carbonic maceration—a traditional Beaujolais method that enhances aromatic lift and freshness. Fermentation with native yeasts is followed by aging in neutral vessels, allowing each wine to transparently reflect its site. The result is Gamay in its most expressive form—vibrant, structured, and transparently tied to place.
