Domaine Rousset
Father and son team Robert and Stéphane Rousset quietly farm some of the finest historic terroirs in Crozes-Hermitage and Saint-Joseph. This is multi-generational farming—no flash, no distractions. Just focused work on steep, stony slopes that matter. The vineyards sit high in the hills of Gervans and Erôme, on decomposed granite and iron-rich soils that bring structure, tension, and lift. Aging is in neutral foudres or demi-muids. Everything is purposeful. These are soulful northern Rhône wines—true expressions, built to age.
Farming Note
Sustainably farmed with organic methods and minimal inputs. No irrigation, no chemicals. All vineyard work is by hand on steep granite slopes.
Winemaking
Native yeast fermentations. No new wood. Long macerations and aging in large neutral foudres and older demi-muids. Honest, transparent, and hands-off.
