Domaine Rousset
Father and son team Robert and Stéphane Rousset quietly farm some of the most historic terroirs in Crozes-Hermitage and Saint-Joseph. They’ve been working this land for generations—no flash, no ego, just thoughtful, grounded farming and winemaking rooted in granite, tradition, and deep local knowledge. The vineyards sit high in the hills of Gervans and Erôme, on steep slopes of decomposed granite and loess. Farming is lutte raisonnée (with a strong lean toward organic), and the wines are made with native yeast, no new oak, and long, slow aging in neutral foudres or demi-muids. Everything here is done with purpose. These are soulful Northern Rhône wines—pure, expressive, and built to age.
