Azienda Agricola Boffalora
In Valtellina, where terraces carve into steep granite slopes, Boffalora makes Nebbiolo that moves with nature, not against it. Farming here is steeped in tradition—no chemicals, no shortcuts, just deep respect for the land.
In the cellar, the approach is patient and low-intervention, allowing the Nebbiolo to express its alpine roots.
The wines are aromatic, with fine tannins and an energy that pulls you back for another sip. They’re elegant but rugged, refined but raw—a perfect reflection of their mountain origins.
Farming Note
Boffalora farms Nebbiolo on the steep, terraced slopes of Valtellina, where soils range from chalky to sandy loam. The extreme alpine conditions and varied soils are managed with respectful, low-intervention practices, promoting biodiversity and letting the rugged beauty of the region shine through in each wine.
Winemaking
all Nebbiolo grapes are hand-harvested and fermented with native yeasts. Boffalora embraces a traditional, minimal-intervention approach. Aging takes place in neutral vessels, allowing the nuance of site and vintage to lead—whether fresh and drinkable or powerful and age-worthy. Every wine reflects a careful balance of purity, structure, and place.
