Aseginolaza & Leunda

In Navarra, where cool Atlantic breezes meet sun-drenched slopes, Aseginolaza & Leunda are redefining the region’s reds. Partners Julen and Pablo work with high-elevation vineyards planted to Garnacha, Tempranillo, and old native varieties. Their philosophy is rooted in precision, restraint, and respect for site.

Farming is organic and minimal-intervention; winemaking is clean and intuitive, with native fermentations and neutral aging. The wines are vivid, aromatic, and full of lift—with texture, purity, and a fresh, mineral backbone that reflects their mountainous origin.

Farming Note

Across their native Navarra vineyards, Aseginolaza & Leunda farm with intention and restraint, promoting biodiversity, soil health, and vine balance. Rooted in diverse clay-limestone, alluvial, and slate soils, each site is cultivated to highlight the unique strength of its variety and place. Guided by sustainable and low-intervention principles, the work honors Navarra’s deep viticultural heritage.

Winemaking

All wines are fermented with native yeasts, using spontaneous fermentation to preserve site character. Extraction is gentle, maintaining freshness and structure without overworking the fruit. Aging in neutral vessels—concrete, seasoned oak, or tank—keeps the focus on clarity, energy, and distinctive expression.
