Alexandre Déramé

In the heart of Anjou, Alexandre Deramé farms vineyards rooted in schist-rich soils that lend his wines structure, energy, and unmistakable minerality. The region’s mild climate and steady breezes create ideal conditions for organic farming.

Transparency lies at the heart of Deramé’s winemaking: native fermentations, no fining or filtering, and aging in neutral vessels. The wines are clean, vibrant, and unmistakably Loire—a precise reflection of Anjou’s unique terroir.

Farming Note

Deramé’s vineyards in Domaine du Moulin are rooted in gabbro soils—a rare volcanic composition that imparts a distinct mineral complexity. Farming is guided by respect for biodiversity and soil vitality, with a focus on sustainable practices that preserve the natural balance and integrity of this special terroir.

Winemaking

“Melon de Bourgogne is harvested at peak ripeness and vinified with precision. Fermentation occurs in temperature-controlled tanks, followed by extended aging on fine lees. This process enhances texture and depth, bringing a quiet richness and subtle roundness while preserving the wine’s natural freshness and clarity.”
